Ramayana Won’t Be The Same For Everyone

Ramayana English version shorter cut No Songs

Ramayana is not getting the same version for every audience. The English version of Ramayana: Part 1 will reportedly be around 30 minutes shorter than the Hindi cut. The international version will also have no songs, with some scenes trimmed to make the film more compact.

The Hindi version, meanwhile, will retain the songs and the fuller cut. So, the English release is not just a dubbed version of the same film. The makers are preparing a separate edit for international audiences.

The decision is clearly aimed at making the film easier to watch in overseas markets, where Indian-style song sequences are not always part of the regular theatrical experience.

For a film like Ramayana, this is an interesting approach. The story remains the same, but the way it is presented will change depending on the market.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, Ramayana: Part 1 is scheduled to release worldwide on November 6, 2026, with the India release set for November 8, 2026.
