The list of injured stars in Indian cinema continues to grow, and the latest to join it is Rashmika Mandanna.
According to reports, the actress suffered a serious hip injury while shooting a dance sequence for one of her upcoming films. Doctors have advised her to take six weeks of complete rest, followed by rehabilitation before returning to work.
Industry reports say the injury was caused by the physically demanding action scenes and dance performances she has been shooting continuously for her upcoming films, Rana Baali and Mysaa.
Reports also claim Rashmika has suffered a tendon injury in her hip, a problem usually seen in professional athletes because of intense physical activity. The injury is said to be more serious than initially expected.
The timing is unfortunate. Rashmika is currently one of the busiest actresses in India, working on four major pan-India films while also endorsing nearly 30 brands. Her injury is likely to affect the shooting schedules of several films and advertisement campaigns.
Interestingly, Rashmika’s injury comes at a time when several top stars have also suffered injuries while shooting.
Nandamuri Balakrishna recently underwent surgery after suffering a quadriceps tendon injury during the shoot of NBK111. Jr NTR is currently recovering from a shoulder injury and has been advised to take six to eight weeks of rest. Ram Charan also recently underwent a wrist surgery in Coimbatore.
The news has worried fans, who have flooded social media with wishes for Rashmika’s speedy recovery. Many have also been tagging Vijay Deverakonda, asking him to take good care of his wife during her recovery.
