In a shocking development, Police manning the Gautami Pushkar Ghat in Kovvur recovered a revolver lying on the steps of the ghat. Police who are already shocked by stampede on the first day in Rajahmundry are now bewildered with this development.

They believe some one brought it along and kept it on the steps to take a dip in the Godavari river. They are trying to know who is the owner and the motive behind bringing it to the ghat. Police are on their toes after that mishap on the first day.
Along with the Chief Minister, DGP of Andhra Pradesh will also be camping in Rajahmundry until the 12 days event conclude so as to avoid any untoward event. There are rumours in Rajahmundry that some people of the town are trying to disrupt the Pushkaralu and now this gun recovery in Kovvur is further worrying people.
