Denying the claims, writer Vijayendra Prasad clearly stated that he didn’t write anything objectionable as he has a great liking and respect for the historical figure who had been one of the greatest influences during the first war of Indian Independence.
Calling her his favourite woman leader, Rajamouli’s father gives the evidence in the form of his daughter whom he named ‘Manikarnika’ after the great warrior queen of Jhansi. The title of the movie is also based on the Rani’s real name ‘Manikarnika’. Even the producer of the movie claimed that they had seen to that there are no such objectionable scenes as alleged by the religious outfits.
