Chinmayi, the singer cum dubbing artist has become as popular as Samantha by lending her voice to the actress. In fact, Chinmayi’s voice became the brand mark for Samantha’s performance. One can’t imagine Samantha without Chinmayi’s voice. Though Samantha’s Telugu is good, there is inevitably slight Tamil (arava) slang attached to it.
Recently there had been rumours making rounds that Chinmayi is going to stop dubbing for Samantha. In the brand new episode of ‘Konchem Touch lo Vunte Chepta’ Samanta revealed that she requested Chinmayi not to do that to her atleast for three more years. The actress branded the husky voice as ‘Bedroom Voice’ while her own voice as not so special one. She feels that at this juncture of her career, audience wouldn’t accept her voice and hence she rather prefers Chinmayi’s voice for her films. Wise thought!
