Sans Publicity, Donations pouring in for Amaravati

Amaravati peoples capital highlights As the state government endlessly wait for the center’s help for Amaravati, people started owning the People’s capital as their own and started pouring in their donations. We have already seen the My Brick – My Amaravati initiative getting overwhelming response by collecting more than 35 Lakhs bricks already. This was achieved even before the NRI donation options were opened.

Jana Chaitanya Housing company offered to build a building of 25000 square feet area for free in Amaravati. The company Chairman met the Chief Minister and offered to build this on his mother’s name. On the other side, a poor constable working in Peddakakani of Guntur district donated his one month salary to the Chief Minister.

These donations have come up even with the state government not publicizing much about the charity and donations. The voluntary donations reveal how much people own Amaravati as their dream and future. The same spirit if continued will easily help the state realize its dream of having a World Class Capital.
