‘Shirdi Sai’ spiritually enlightened Nagarjuna

On Nag’s 54th birthday, we asked him what is the one role in his career that personally had a lasting effect on him. To which, Nag said that he usually forgets a role after he finishes a film, but his role in the film ‘Shirdi Sai’ spiritually enlightened him.

He said the role didn’t make him more spiritual, but helped him to look at things from a spiritual point of view. He said while preparing for the role he read books about Shirdi Sai, and in the process found answers to several questions in life.

He said it was one role he will remember for a very long time. He also says that the role personally helped him to connect with several intellectual people and have meaningful conversations.
