Some films like Kamal Haasan’s ‘Bhamane Satya Bhaamane’ and the recent Allari Naresh’s ‘Laddu Babu’ had the actors to undergone hours of make up sessions. Even for Kamal Haasan’s upcoming film ‘Uttama Villain’, the actor had to sit patiently for 4 hours to go through the make up session. Long hours and with heavy make up on is no delightful thing for any actor. But using acid for make up which had every scope to get the skin burnt is something out of question.
Acid? One might be left aghast hearing that acid was used for a top hero’s make up in his upcoming movie. The biggest movie ever made in South Cinema ‘Manoharudu’ ( ‘Ai’ in Tamil) has its set of surprises. For this film hero Vikram had to don a make up in which a particular kind of acid had to be used. And after the make up, the actor had to be in only cool temperatures to avoid burning and skin peeling off. Though the unit took every care to see that Vikram is kept only in cooler emperatures, even then his skin got lightly burnt once. Shocking, isn’t it?
