Audiences and industry’s longing for all the big films release finally came to a halt with GAV’s release during this Dasara season. Rabhasa, Power, Aagadu and finally GAV had already put their box-office fate to test and received audiences verdict. Meanwhile, all the small and medium budget films are waiting for their releases to have a safe bet at box office and not get lost in the humdrum of big releases. Let’s have a look at the medium and small budget films which are going to release in the coming weeks.
Writer turned director Mahi V Raghav’s ”Paathshala’ is all set to release on 10th October. This small budgeted movie garnered good buzz because of its unique promotional campaign with placards and road theme based activities. The movie is compared with Krish’s ‘Gamyam’ and Shekhar’s ‘Happy Days’.
Another small film which would release on 10th October is Puri’s brother Sairam Shankar’s film ‘Romeo’. This is a romantic thriller penned by Puri himself and Ravi Teja is making a special appearance in it. The supporting cast of this film is great that includes Jayasudha and Naga Babu.
One more in competition on 10th October is Naga Shourya, Ajay, Sana Maqbool and Indraja starrer ‘Dikkulu Chudaku Ramayya’. After ‘Oohalu Gusa Gusalaade’, Naga Shourya screen presence was lauded. Senior actress Indraja’s comeback is much anticipated. The unique theme of father and son falling for the same girl has created big interest among movie buffs
For October 17th, we have Naga Chaitanya’s much awaited movie ‘Oka Laila Kosam’. The film has been pushed this long to not collide with the big movies. Miss India runner up Pooja Hegde is making her Tollywood debut with this movie. The scintillating chemistry between Chaitu & Pooja has given good base for OLK already.
Another movie to come on 17th Oct is Manchu Manoj’s ‘Current Theega’. The music of the film has topped the charts and Sunny Leone’s debut into Tollywood with a special song and an extended cameo is one of the main attraction of the movie. ‘Current Theega’ stands as medium budget film which got huge buzz.
Nikhil and Colors Swathi’s long pending ‘Karthikeya’ also finally got its release date this season. The pair had been a super hit earlier in ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ which has raised curiosity on this film. Chandu Mondeti is making his directorial debut with this film. This is going to be released both in Telugu and Tamil. Colors Swati is a popular face in Kollywood and Nikhil is eying Kollywood market with this film.
