Like he did earlier after the release of ‘Singham 3’, Suriya presented a Toyota car to his ‘Thaana Serndha Koottam’ (‘Gang’ in Telugu) director Vignesh Shivan. Though the film wasn’t a super hit in Telugu, it has done decent business in Tamil Nadu.

It isn’t a landmark film in his career and just a faithful remake of Bollywood film ‘Special 26’ without any exciting changes to the original. Nevertheless, Suriya was shown in an entertaining avatar and was seen enjoying playing his role. That’s what really clicked about the movie more than the director’s contribution.
Looks like this kind of trend is catching up with heroes of our industry, both in Tamil and Telugu. Not only Suriya, there are other stars who are following the same trend. Recently, Naga Shourya gifted a car to his ‘Chalo’ director. Of course, there are others who gift themselves cars after a successful movie.
