After his successful venture ‘Manam’, director Vikram Kumar was said to have been chased by producers in Telugu to do a movie for them. But the film maker chose to do a Tamil film with Suriya, titled ’24’. For the first time Suriya is going to play three roles in a film set in the timespan of over three generations.

Three generations in one film would definitely remind us of ‘Manam’. In ‘Manam’ we had Akkineni family’s three generations to play the roles of grandfather, father and son by legendary ANR, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya. The reincarnation theme blended well with all the actors from the same family at disposal.
But for Suriya’s movie three generations from the same family isn’t possible. So, what to do? Simple. Suriya is going to play all the three roles as grandfather, father and son in the remake of ‘Manam’. While Akkineni’s home production produced ‘Manam’ in Telugu, Suriya’s home production ‘2D Entertainment’ is producing the remake.
