Bollywood has an all-time low patch and even stars like Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar are unable to bail it out. In fact, their own films are posting abysmally poor numbers at the box office.
Now, a Bollywood film has gotten off to a start so very bad that people are commenting that a sweets shop would collect more than this film in a day.
The film in question here is Dobaaraa which has Tapsee Pannu in the lead role. The film released in theatres on the 19th of this month and it collected a mere Rs 72 lakh despite having the Janmashtami holiday release advantage.
“Day 1 collection of #Dobaaraa in India is lesser than HALDIRAM SWEETS SHOP daily sales in Kolkata” a top Bollywood critic commented about the box office openings of Dobaaraa.
Incidentally, Telugu film, Karthikeya 2 is faring pretty well in the North belt now. In fact, the film is doing even better than Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. As for Dobaaraa, it will add to the very long list of Bollywood’s epic disasters in 2022.
