Shooting of all the Telugu films will be stalled from tomorrow. The workers of 24 crafts have decided to go on indefinite strike which is expected to bring the industry to a screeching half from tomorrow. There were talks among the various associations from the past few weeks to resolve the issue but with those talk not coming to fruition, this decision has been taken.
The demands from the workers are simple, increases the wages and bring in a schedule for the working. For years there has been no improvement in the working condition and payments of these workers who work relentlessly giving shape to a film. Things used to be much worse in the past though but over the years with talks basic amenities like housing etc were provided. However with current economic situation going completely out of hand fresh concerns and issues were raised.
We have to see how long the strike continues as many big films have started the shooting only recently or are looking to start the shoot soon.
