RRR’s success in theaters was on expected lines, but what it has achieved in OTT space is simply mindboggling. RRR was released on NetFlix on May 20, and since then, the appreciation that is coming its way from various corners of the world is UNBELIEVABLE.
Some of the greatest critics and directors have applauded the SS Rajamouli Period spectacle for its vision, performance, action, and the passion with which it was made.
While the Hindi version was released on Netflix, the Telugu version was released on Zee5. The Hindi version has reached parts of the world that no one thought existed. The Telugu version also has been doing phenomenally, but the reach of the Hindi version on Netflix is on another level.
So now, every Telugu star wants his film to be premiered on Netflix to reach a wider section of the audience. They think that Netflix’s better reach among the Hindi and International audiences compared to other OTT platforms will help them create a fan base for themselves, which in turn might help them to score in a big way with a pan-India film in a later stage of their career.
Netflix is the latest obsession for Telugu heroes after the popularity RRR gained throughout the world.
