Telugu film industries is one of the best performing film industries in the country and it has been the case for the last decade since Baahubali. Even prior to that Telugu cinema was particularly good when it comes to making good regional commercial films.
But this craft of regional filmmaking is completely evaporated after the inception of pan Indian Cinema.
But now we have arrived at a point where this constant push for big scale Cinema making is starting to have a detrimental effect on the actors at a physical level.
We have Prabhas, who is struggling from a knee and shoulder injury after Baahubali. Jr NTR and Ram Charan are also currently undergoing significant physical rehabilitation after suffering shoulder and hand injuries respectively.
Nandamuri Balakrishna has also injured his leg and he is currently on recovery, which could be lasting a few months.
It is evident that the constant push for big scale filmmaking and large action pieces have started to have negative effects on the heroes at a physical level. Every other month, we keep hearing news about one hero or another getting injured on the set.
This is something extremely unfortunate and needs to be addressed directly quickly by the heroes and the entire industry itself. This simply can’t continue to affect the physical side of things as this goes beyond cinema as well.
At the end of the day, these individuals are humans too and they deserve a normal life as well. Just for the sake of entertainment, we can’t expect them to push to the very extreme.
One possible solution for this is for heroes to stop going after larger-than-life films, consecutively, and somehow fit regional films that can be completed quick and easy. This will reduce the physical and mental pressure on them by a significant margin.
