Apology or Boycott: Film Federation Tightens Grip on Jani Master

Jani Master faces TFIEF notice

The Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation (TFIEF) issued a formal show-cause notice to prominent dance choreographer Jani Master following an escalating row over union protocols.

The federation expressed deep anger over highly provocative comments made by the choreographer on July 12th, which reportedly incited union members and severely tarnished the apex body’s reputation.

Adding to the friction, the federation noted with gravity that Jani Master failed to attend a mandatory internal inquiry committee hearing scheduled for July 14th to address his conduct.

Taking a stringent stance on institutional discipline, the federation directed Jani Master to submit a comprehensive, written explanation detailing his actions within a strict 7-day window.

Alongside the written justification, union leadership made it clear that a public, unconditional apology is mandatory to de-escalate the situation.

Senior leaders warned that failure to comply with the deadline or deliver a satisfactory response will immediately invite severe disciplinary actions, including a nationwide non-cooperation call across all 23 crafts and potential permanent expulsion until the crisis is fully resolved.
