Nani and director Srikanth Odela have come together for the second time after Dasara for The Paradise. The movie is one of the highly anticipated films in Nani’s career. Sudhakar Cherukuri is producing the film on a large scale, and it is slated for a worldwide release on September 24th.
Srikanth Odela talked to the media about the film and revealed, “Nani never doubted my conviction for The Paradise. Even when everyone around us stated that braids might not suit him, he believed in the emotion I was conveying through that feature and he carried them like a massy symbol.”
He further revealed that he took inspiration from real incidents in the Godavarikhani area, but as he grew up in Secunderabad Railway Colony, he located this story there as well. He called it a “raw emotional film with a gritty revolution.” He stated that the emotional scenes between mother and son, along with the confrontation scenes between Nani and Mohan Babu, will be important parts of the film.
About the delays, he sincerely apologised to audiences. Srikanth said, “I told producer that the filming will take 161 days but we went to 171 days as I am particular about a shot. I never re-shot anything nor did we change the script. We locked everything prior to shoot but camera placements, on-set perfection took time. Hence, date issues arose. I genuinely accept that I couldn’t perfectly do that aspect.”
Speaking about Anirudh Ravichander, Srikanth Odela stated that he has become a friend to him. He said it is difficult to work with anyone else as Anirudh gives importance to the director’s vision and how he can enhance it. He expressed confidence that audiences will get an action-oriented experience in theatres.
