The delay is largely due to the director’s current film, which is a high-budget action project that has reportedly gone over budget. He is fully focused on finishing that, leaving little time for the new script.
The young actor, who is also producing both films, is prioritizing this ongoing project. He believes this current project has the potential to break out not just in Telugu but also at a pan-India level and open a market for his films in Hindi. As a result, he is also prioritizing the current film over the announced collaboration with the senior star hero.
The current film, originally planned for a March release, has already been pushed to the second half of 2026. Even that looks uncertain, as a lot of shooting and post-production work is still pending. It may slip to next year.
Because of this, the announced project with the senior hero is now stuck without clarity. With no script and no timelines, it risks being delayed indefinitely or even shelved.
This scenario shows the risk of announcing films without a locked script. For now, everything depends on whether the director can return with a complete narration and whether it will impress the ‘supreme’ senior hero.
