Two Songs, Zero Impact: Warning Signs for Toxic?

Yash in Toxic as songs receive mixed response

The makers of Toxic have slowly started the promotions. While people are waiting for the trailer, the producers have tried to keep the buzz alive with two songs, Tabaahi and Madhosh.

Notably, Toxic marks the return of Yash to the big screen after a long break of four years. Considering that, the songs should have emerged as chartbusters within a few days of release. However, things have not happened as expected since the singles have failed to leave a positive impression.

The songs have been clearly declared as average by the audience, saying that the movie deserves a better soundtrack. Some people even questioned why the makers did not focus on the songs and prioritized the presentation of the superstar along with the action and thrill on screen.

The soundtrack of any film has always contributed to its success over the years. People have compared the situation to Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, saying that the songs of both movies managed to build a connection with the audiences. As of now, the composition and everything else about the songs have not impressed the audience.

The low interest in the songs has now raised concern about the movie. With only a month left for release, trade experts stated that the film needs something strong and better to ensure that the hype does not end so easily. Although Yash or the makers have not confirmed, it is expected for now that the main target is going to be the North Indian market.

While it was supposed to clash with Eetha, reports of Shraddha Kapoor’s film being postponed have now brought some hope. However, critics stated that the movie has still not managed to build excitement among the Hindi audience, which was seen at the time of K.G.F. Chapter 2.

Due to the stardom of Yash, the movie is expected to take a good start at the box office. But let’s wait and see if the story and content will be strong enough to help the producers recover their big investment.
