“Circumstances Forced My Break”: Vadde Naveen on 10-Year Gap

Vadde Naveen at Transfer Trimurthulu launch

Popular 90s lead actor Vadde Naveen is returning to the silver screen. He is making a grand comeback as a protagonist after 16 years with a gritty action-thriller titled Transfer Trimurthulu. The film’s official teaser was launched at a major event in Hyderabad today.

During the launch, the veteran star addressed his long absence from cinema. While he made a brief supporting appearance in 2016’s Attack, it has been well over a decade since he headlined a movie. Clarifying his timeline, Naveen stated: “I did not take a break from the industry… circumstances forced this break upon me. This gap happened simply because I did not get the stories I liked, and I refused to do the stories that came my way.”

Naveen emphasized that he actively refused to sign formulaic commercial projects just to stay visible on screen. He chose to step back in front of the camera only because director Kamal Teja Narla approached him with a strong script. In Transfer Trimurthulu, which Naveen is also producing under Vadde Creations, he plays an intense police constable transferred 55 times in 10 years.
