Following the massive blockbuster success of Karuppu, Suriya is now returning with his next film Vishwanath & Sons directed by Venky Atluri, which is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14th.
Since Suriya’s last film, Karuppu, was his career’s highest-grossing film with more than 300 crores in box office collections and Venky Atluri’s last film Lucky Baskhar, was a hit in Tamil Nadu, Vishwanath & Sons has huge expectations among the audience.
In this scenario, strong speculation is doing the rounds on social media that the satellite rights of Vishwanath & Sons have still not been sold and because of this, the makers of the film are now in huge trouble.
This speculation is creating shockwaves among Suriya fans and many of them are in huge confusion about whether, because of the unsold satellite rights, Vishwanath & Sons will get postponed from its scheduled release date.
Many Kollywood trackers are now suggesting that due to the unsold satellite rights, the film will not get postponed, as sometimes the satellite rights of a film are sold even after its theatrical release. Hence, they claim that it’s just a normal thing and won’t affect the planned release.
However, they feel what is worrying about this news is that even after the massive success of Karuppu, the satellite rights of Vishwanath & Sons have not been sold, which they claim proves the inconsistency of Suriya. They suggest that if Suriya constantly delivers blockbuster films, these problems would not arise.
Ultimately, all of these are just social media speculations and there are still no official updates on this. Hence, it remains to be seen which television channel is going to acquire the satellite rights of Vishwanath & Sons and whether the film will have a smooth theatrical release on August 14th.
