But in the case of certain non-Telugu film directors, the kind of cover-up stories they are coming up with after stuttering with their films is amusing everyone.
Earlier this year, Siddhart Anand who made War 2 which underwhelmed at the box office commented that the film didn’t connect with the masses as the majority of the audience hadn’t experienced a fighter jet. This was followed by the statement from Lokesh Kangaraj upon Leo’s non-peaking run at the box office. Reacting to the criticism on the hero’s flashback portion, he said the entire portion might be just a fake story. He implied that the flashback shown in the film is narrated by a character and is not necessarily a fact. After making such a costly film, this talented director saying his narration could be fake didn’t go well with many.
The latest news is regarding Venkat Prabhu who made Goat. He said the Telugu and Kannada audiences might not have connected with the film because it has connections with Chennai Super Kings team. Blaming the cricketing choices of the audience for the shortcomings of his own film has led to Venkat Prabhu getting trolled.
