After tainted cricketer Sreeshanth visited Puri Jagannath’s ‘Cave’, there arose a lot of speculations that he would be seen in the director’s next flick. News afresh, Sreeshanth may probably play the baddie in NTR’s next movie. Though Sreeshanth is new to films, his popularity as a cricketer would become an USP for Puri-NTR’s movie. The ex-cricketer had no go but to choose an alternative career after his image is marred with match fixing allegations.
Then ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ happened to him. ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’ is a reality dance show aired by Colors TV. Being a good dancer himself, Sreesanth competed with other TV celebrities and even celebrities from other walks of life. It’s a competition and the judges are bound to give comments or compliments based on the participants’ performances. For one such observation given by the judges, Sreesanth got irked and throwing tantrums at the reputed judges ( Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit, film maker Karan Johar & star choreographer Remo D’Souza) walked out of the programme.
When he was in field playing cricket, cricket lovers had witnessed Sreeshanth’s agressive and irky behaviour. Using abusive language, making indecent signs and doing a lot of nautanki (drama) on the cricket field had been his cup of tea then. After the TV show episode, one cannot say that he is a changed man. Puri is said to be a strict task master. Can Sreeshanth survive here in Tollywood with his agressive attitude? Atleast for once, will he change his track record? Hope so.
