The remake of ‘Arjun Reddy’ in Tamil as ‘Adithya Varma‘ has been in the news for being the debut of Chiyaan Vikram’s son Dhruv Vikram. Unlike the Telugu original and it’s Hindi remake ‘Kabir Singh’ might be devoid of controversies.
Dhruv Vikram says that they had made a few changes to the original to avoid the controversy related to spreading toxic masculinity and sexist stance. But, those were the things that worked for the original and the Hindi remake.
If ‘Adithya Varma’ narrative is tweaked to avoid controversies, the big question that would surface is, ‘Will the story work sans controversies?” One never knows till we get to watch the final product.
By the way, ‘Adithya Varma’ is postponed once again as the makers weren’t happy with the ‘A’ certificate given by the Central Board of Film Certification when they were expecting a ‘UA’ certificate.
The movie might be in theatres on 21st November not on 8th November as announced earlier. The Tamil remake was already postponed several times. Hope, it wouldn’t be postponed again.
