Harjit Singh, 32, is now facing charges of home invasion, attempted burglary, terroristic threats, obstruction, aggravated battery, and second-degree criminal damage. Singh, from New Jersey, attempted to break into the house of an elderly couple in the 700 block of Saint Mary’s Lane in Marietta, USA.
He knocked on the door and tried to enter the house. However, when the couple tried to resist, he broke the glass on the table of the front porch, damaged plants, and tried to barge in again. In the ensuing hustle, Singh slashed the husband’s face with a piece of glass.
By then, the police arrived on the scene and tried to take Singh into custody. When he resisted, police had to taser him. Singh was found with blood on his hands and feet and possessed a knife, though he did not use it on the couple.
The Marietta police have requested details pertaining to Singh to understand the reason behind his ‘abnormal behavior’.
