Inspired by this, a team of Bangalore Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (BMRDA) have visited Amaravathi to oversee the land acquisition model. The BMRDA proposed to construct the satellite township of Bidadi for which bids have been called for in 2006-07. After bagging the project, builder major DLF backed from it. The Government didn’t have many funds to collect the heavy toll of private lands under the Land Acquisition Act 2013.
Weighing all these options, they set to increase the share of private land losers from existing 55percent to 60percent under the PPP model. The township will connect five satellite twons around Benguluru and 65-km peripheral ring road (PRR).
