Godavari River Management board meeting with the officials of both the Telugu states happened this week. The meeting had seen heated arguments between the officials of both the states. AP officials demanded that the DPR of the proposed projects in Telangana to be given to AP.

However Telangana officials said that they are not given the DPR of Pattiseema Project and they need not give the DPRs of their project. It was then AP officials reminded that Patiseema is a downstream project which will not be a problem to any other states.
But Telangana projects are likely to affect the down state (AP). Board Chairman Ram Sharan agreed to AP’s view and urged Telangana officials to submit the DPRs to AP. This can be a problem to Telangana’s proposed projects as AP may come up with objections after receiving the DPRs.
