Balakrishna’s Hindupur: Fake Hope For YSRCP

balakrishna-hindupur-TDPYSR Congress is going to face its third election in Hindupur in the coming election. It had two different candidates to defeat Nandamuri Balakrishna in the 2014 and 2019 elections but without any luck.

YSR Congress fielded Naveen Nischal in 2014 but failed. They brought a minority, Iqbal in 2019 to take on Balakrishna with no luck. Iqbal was made the MLC to make him strong for 2024 but Survey reports are not favorable.

Now, the party has brought a third candidate, Deepika to be the candidate in the coming election.

This has complicated the seat further for the party due to group politics and Blue Media is trying to infuse Fake hope into the party.

YSR Congress won Chalivendula panchayat in recent by-elections. Blue Media is tomtoming this as a big achievement and first step for Balakrishna’s defeat but the facts are different.

Chalivendula is a stronghold of the YSR Congress. It is quite common to have a village or two for other parties even in strong seats of a party. Chalivendula is one such village.

YSR Congress’s Sarpanch Soubhagyamma passed away and facilitated the by-election.

TDP gave a strong fight to defeat the YSR Congress but could only reduce the majority.

In the election Soubhagyamma won, the majority was 650 votes but with the strong fight from TDP, the majority was reduced to 337 votes this time.

While Blue Media is trying to give fake hope to the YSR Congress cadre, actually it should be worrying that the majority got reduced even in a Panchayat where they are strong.
