YSR Congress bagged a humiliating defeat in the recent elections down from 151 seats to just eleven.

Botsa got elected as the MLC of Vishakapatnam Local Bodies by-election.
YSR Congress has a huge lead in the voters of Visakha local bodies. There are 841 voters out of which 615 are from YSR Congress. TDP has only 215 votes.

The TDP boycotted the 2020 elections at that time. However, in many areas, the party’s fans and leaders contested and won.
TDP could have won the election if it had decided to win at any cost. But with abundant caution, Naidu decided not to put up the candidate.
Since then Blue Media has been trying to portray Botsa as some Baahubali.
They are writing stories that Botsa will resurrect the YSR Congress and will get a complete hold of Vishakapatnam.
During the height of his political glory, Botsa never made an impact outside the Vizianagaram district.
Botsa is just an MLC and will not have any clout. Neither he nor the YSR Congress could do anything in Vishakapatnam despite that Hungama over the Executive Capital.
YSR Congress drew a blank in the entire Vishakapatnam district in the recent elections. In the four constituencies that cover Vizag City, the party’s candidates lost with massive majorities. TDP also won the Vishakapatnam Parliament with a massive margin.
YSR Congress could do nothing in Vishakapatnam ever since its inception. It is the area where Jagan’s mother, Vijaya Lakshmi was also defeated.
Even at the peak of Jagan’s popularity in 2019, he could not open an account in the city.
