Telangana IT Minister, K Taraka Rama Rao expressed displeasure over what he called inordinate delay by the Centre in withdrawing the cases filed during the Telangana movement. TRS government after taking over the office in 2014 withdrew cases and absolved more than 1,100 people from the cases.

Along with home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, excise minister Padma Rao and few others, KTR is accused in such cases mostly filed by the Railway Police for the Rail Roko Program conducted during the Telangana Agitation Time.
Telangana Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy himself claims that the cases were illegal and they are being harrassed with those cases. But then, TRS is surprisingly maintaining good relation with the Center like in the case of extending unconditional support to NDA’s Presidential Candidate.
