Chandrababu Naidu has said land records in Andhra Pradesh are now being made secure and cannot be tampered with.
He made these remarks at the “Mee Bhoomi Mee Hakku” programme in Surepalli village of Bapatla district.
Chandrababu said land is not just property, but a person’s livelihood and security. He added that the government is focusing on protecting land rights and resolving long-pending issues.
He explained that the new pattadar passbooks are being designed with strong security features, similar to currency. The process includes resurvey, verification in the presence of landowners, and eKYC before issuing the passbooks.
According to him, new technology is being used to prevent any kind of manipulation. A blockchain system has been introduced to secure records, and QR codes have been added for easy verification.
He also said people will have the option to digitally lock their land records, so no one can register their land without their knowledge.
At the same time, Chandrababu took a dig at the previous government, saying land disputes increased during that period due to poor handling of records. He said the current government is now fixing those issues.
He also shared that lakhs of new passbooks have already been issued, with more to be distributed in the coming months.
Chandrababu said this is a long-term solution and people should feel confident that their land is safe and protected.
