The BJP is using Communal Agenda to get votes in Telangana. Home Minister Amit Shah himself is trying to polarize the Hindus by saying that they would cancel the four percent reservations for Muslims.
Even though the BJP did not speak about the issue in Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress is trying to instigate Muslims in Andhra Pradesh using the same videos.
Chandrababu Naidu clarified TDP’s stand on the issue at a gathering of Muslims in Nellore.
“These people troubled Muslims a lot in the last five years. They have voted for bills like CAA, and NRC in the name of reservations. Vijayasai Reddy signed and spoke to support those bills in Rajya Sabha. Now they are trying to mislead you for votes. The 4% reservation issue has been in the Supreme Court since 2014. Anyone can only put lawyers and argue. Back then, I ensured the best of the lawyers argue the matter,” Chandrababu said.
Chandrababu also indirectly sent a message that given the condition of the state, the alliance with the BJP is inevitable.
“I will use your votes for your welfare and development. Even if an MP wins from here, he will go and vote for the BJP. I will work for you but they will use your votes for their selfishness and so save themselves from cases,” Chandrababu added.
It is good that Chandrababu spelled his stance on this issue once and for all.
Unlike Telangana, TDP is the major party in the alliance in Andhra Pradesh. BJP can not dictate its stand here. We have seen how nothing of that sort happened even in the previous instances when TDP allied with the BJP.
