Chandrababu Naidu Meets Finance Minister With Big List

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has been meeting various Union Ministers since yesterday as a part of his Delhi tour and seeking their support for the development and welfare of the state.

As the union budget is likely to be introduced in the monsoon sessions of Parliament which will be held later this month, Chandrababu is meeting Union Ministers, requesting them to allocate adequate funds to Andhra Pradesh in various sectors.

Earlier today, he met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and requested her to save the state, which is in financial crisis due to the poor governance of the YSR Congress Party over the past five years.

Chandrababu Naidu submitted a memorandum to Nirmala Sitharaman, detailing the economic necessities of Andhra Pradesh. He also explained to her why there is a need to increase the funds for AP.

He noted that the state is in severe debt due to improper governance from 2019-2024. He pointed out that debts in GSDP were 31.02% in 2019-20, but they have increased to 33.32% in 2023-24.

Naidu requested funds for Polavaram, Amaravati, and a few other projects in the state. He also requested her to resolve the pending issues related to the state bifurcation.

Nirmala Sitharaman assured that the central government would do its best to support the financial situation of the state. The meeting lasted for almost an hour.

Along with Chandrababu, Union Ministers Ram Mohan Naidu, Pemmasani Chandrashekar, and the state’s NDA MPs attended this meeting.
