The Andhra Pradesh government considers Bhogapuram Airport a prestigious development project. Chandrababu Naidu expressed his desire for Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the facility, reflecting the cooperation between the state government and the Centre.

The meeting took place as political attention in Delhi remained focused on the NEET controversy, with Opposition parties continuing their protests. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit, however, was centred on development and administrative matters related to Andhra Pradesh.

Photographs of Chandrababu Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and TDP MPs have been widely shared on social media following the meeting. The visit has also been viewed by political observers as another sign of the TDP’s continued support for the NDA alliance.

According to the schedule, Bhogapuram Airport is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 1. The airport is projected to become one of the major aviation hubs in South India.
