The incident took place at Hoshiarpur in Punjab where a man pulled up in his swanky blue-coloured Mercedes Benz car and loaded cheap ration supplies in the trunk.
Pulses and rice are priced at Rs 2 at this ration shop and they are intended to sere the basic necessities of the poor and needy. Now, the fact that a man collected these supplies in a Mercedes Benz car has angered the netizens. The related video is now going viral on social media and it has led to a heated debate.
Netizens are questioning the integrity of the man, who is taking supplies that are to serve the poor.
The man driving the Benz was identified as Ramesh Saini. He said the car belongs to his relatives. “They don’t live in India, and park the car at our place. It’s a diesel car, so we just start it in a few days and take a few rounds” he stated. He said he runs a small videography business and his kids go to a government school.
