Congress-led Mahakutami has ended up with a massive failure in the recently concluded Telangana Elections. Several bigwigs of Congress have lost in the Pink Wave which engulfed the entire Opposition. Congress Working President and Fire Brand, Revanth Reddy also lost the election from Kodangal.

Congress high command, however, feels that it is necessary to lift Revanth Reddy’s spirits ahead of the crucial Parliament Elections. The party is thinking on the lines of fielding Revanth Reddy in the Parliament Elections. It is not yet decided from where he will be contesting. It will be finalized soon and Revanth will start working.
In fact, Revanth Reddy wanted to contest on TDP ticket for Malkajgiri Parliament Segment in 2014 elections but TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu wanted him in the State Assembly. Malkajgiri was an easy seat back then due to TDP and BJP alliance and the support of settlers but things have changed drastically since then. Settlers are rallying with TRS in recent times.
