YS Jagan Mohan Reddy pinned high hopes on Nandhyal By-Election only to disappoint. The entire party is in a sort of depression, Jagan feels it necessary to do something to lift their spirits. The Opposition Leader is left with only option to have his MPs resign for Special Status.

But then, we are told that except two MPs, no one is ready to resign. These two MPs are relatives of Jagan. Vijay Sai Reddy is also not in favour of this proposal as he fears if his resignation is accepted by Rajya Sabha Chairman, it will be a problem going forward.
On the other side, there are rumours that at least 11 YSR Congress MLAs are in touch with TDP High Command to switch their loyalty anytime. These MLAs see no future with YSR Congress especially after Nandhyal By-Election and are keen on joining TDP.
Interestingly, the MLAs have no demands except for seat guarantee from TDP in the next election. If Kakinada Municipal Corporation Elections come against to Jagan, things will become even worse. Exit Polls, however, have no good news for Jagan and he will be hoping that they will be wrong this time.
