It looks like Telugu Desam Party is in for a big shock. There are reports of four Rajya Sabha MPs trying to join BJP and now there are reports of Fourteen Kapu Leaders having a secret meeting in a hotel in Kakinada. They are in discussion about joining BJP or YSR Congress, the reports suggest.
Former MLA Thota Trimurthulu has organized the meeting. Buragadda Vedavyas, Bonda Uma, Baddeti Bujji, Kadiri Baburao, Chengalrayudu, Jyothula Nehru, Parupula Raja, Meesala Geetha, KA Naidu, Panchakarla Ramesh Babu, and Eeli Nani have attended the meeting.
This will be a massive jolt to TDP if they leave as they are MLAs till recently and the party will be deserted in those constituencies. Jyothula Nehru and Thota Tirumurthulu, however, told the media they are not leaving the party and are only reviewing the recent defeat.
Thota Trimurthulu who organized the meeting tried his best to leave the party before the elections but his demands were not met by Jagan. He stayed back but lost the recent elections.
