Gali Janardhan Reddy and his associates who have been sentenced to jail have sought bail in the OMC case from the Telangana High Court. They claim that the CBI Court sentenced them with insufficient evidence.
The guilty claim that the CBI Court imposed punishment without proper investigation. They further said that a lot of damage will happen due to this and requested the Telangana High Court to grant bail and stall imposition of punishment.
The guilty asked for grant of bail till the hearing on appeal is over. All those found guilty by the CBI Court submitted individual appeals questioning the sentence given on May 6.
Gali Janardhan Reddy, BV Srinivas Reddy, VD Rajagopal, Gali’s PA Mefaz Alikhan appealed individually. Gali said that the CBI Court imposed the sentence without considering the witnesses and proofs in records.
The special court for summer holidays will look into the appeals on May 21, in all likelihood.
