People in different parts of the country like never before came on roads and celebrated for a Tax which may potentially burn a hole in their pockets. On the D-Day when GST came into effect, people were seen thronging to Supermarkets, Hotels and Cinema Halls.
All this to have a Bill with GST Breakup and flaunt those bills in Social Media. ‘Selfie with GST Bills’- does not that sounds weird? People have not gone nuts but this is a hope of change in the people as they look forward to the biggest reform since the independence.
Modi may be the only politician who may have instilled hope in the people while still saying that, ‘Look I am bringing a new Tax for all of you’. He is the only politician who had guts to ask the people to give up their subsidies and convinced people to do that. India is Changing for sure!
