Life can turn one’s life upside down. The dreams, aspirations, and struggle one goes through simply appear to be small when death looms large. This was the case with Harshvardhan, 33, who was in Australia at the time of his death.
His story is something that is bound to touch the heart of each and every Indian. Epuri Rama Rao and Prameela hail from Srinavasnagar from Khammam. They had two sons – Harshvardhan and Akhil. Harshvardhan, who did his pharmacy, went to Australia in 2013 for higher studies in Brisbane and did his higher studies in health management and general medicine. He also started working in a private clinic in Queensland.
In February 2020, he got married in Khammam. He went back to Australia and hoped he would soon take his wife also to Australia. However, while he was working out at a gym, he developed a cough and breathlessness, and he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Harshvardhan took his initial treatment in Australia, and everything looked like it was fine.
He came back to Khammam last year in September and spent 15 days with his family before going back to Australia.
However, he soon had a relapse when everything seemed fine. This time, Harshvardhan got to know the harsh reality that he would no longer live long.
He immediately divorced his wife. Assured his parents to be strong and made all arrangements to make sure his body came to Khammam for the final funeral. During the last few days, he was in touch with his friends and family and passed away, fulfilling all his duties. He was supposed to come for the wedding of his younger brother, but destiny had other plans for him.
The parents and friends are yet to come out of the shock, though his funeral has been held as per Harshvardhan’s wishes.
