Rohit Sharma

The ongoing season of IPL has been a horrid one for Mumbai Indians with the team losing all three games that they played thus far. The new captain, Hardik Pandya is under serious pump as he is being booed by the crowd whenever he sets foot on the ground with the public agitated about Rohit being removed as the captain.

Now, there is a new report from a leading national media outlet that there are chances that Rohit Sharma could get back as captain of Mumbai.

According to the report, the Mumbai ownership and team management are agitated about the recent run of form and the repercussions of replacing 5-time IPL-winning captain Rohit Sharma.

Senior cricketer Manoj Tiwary commented that there is a chance Mumbai leadership could contemplate the idea of bringing back Rohit as the captain of the side. He mentioned the example of Hardik not even being in the position to bowl in the third match due to the increasing pressure from the crowd, to strengthen his argument about Rohit returning as the captain.

Previously, Chennai Super Kings rolled back the captaincy change from Jadeja to Dhoni last year. Can Mumbai do something along these lines this year? We have to wait and watch.
