Traffic curbs for Hyderabad Ganesh Nimarjan

Hyderabad Police have announced extensive traffic regulations for Ganesh idol immersion (Nimarjan) scheduled from September 6, 6 am to September 7, 10 am. To ensure smooth flow of processions and public safety, officials requested citizens to use alternate routes and cooperate with traffic personnel.

The Balapur Ganesh Shobha Yatra will pass through Charminar, Abids, Liberty, Tank Bund, and reach Necklace Road. Idols from Secunderabad will move via Patny, Paradise, Ranigunj, Karbala Maidan, and proceed to Tank Bund. From Tolichowki and Mehdipatnam, processions will reach Necklace Road via Khairatabad, while idols from Tappachibowli and Asif Nagar will enter only through MJ Market.

Traffic restrictions include:

  • South-East Zone: Diversions from Kesavagiri, Chandrayanagutta, Moosarambagh, Chanchalguda, Aliabad, Darrushifa, Madina, Nayapul, and MJ Market.

  • Central Areas: No regular traffic at Putlibowli, Himayatnagar, Sivaji Bridge, YMCA, Buddha Bhavan, Liberty, Abids, Khairatabad, and Tank Bund.

  • North Zone: Diversions at Patny, Paradise, and Ranigunj.

Parking zones have been earmarked for devotees, and heavy vehicles must exit through ORR. From 8 am, September 6 to 11 pm, September 7, lorries will not be allowed inside city limits. RTC buses will operate only up to Mehdipatnam, Kukatpally, Secunderabad, Uppal, Dilsukhnagar, and Narayanaguda. Intercity and interstate buses will be diverted via Chaderghat.

  • Airport passengers should use PVNR Expressway or ORR.

  • Secunderabad Railway Station passengers should travel via Begumpet and Paradise.
