India’s first high-speed rail network project, namely the bullet train connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad will have the logo designed by Chakradhar Aalla, a 27-year-old city youth from Lakdi-ka-pul. He bagged the first prize in the logo designing contest held by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL).

He also won one Lakh Prize Money. The logo will be the official logo of the Prestigious Project. The construction of the corridor began on 14 September 2017 as per schedule and the first bullet train is scheduled to leave for its first run on 15 August 2022.
Japan is funding the project and is also lending the necessary expertise for the construction as well. The project is estimated to cost ₹1.1 lakh crore (US$17 billion). JICA is funding 81% of the total project cost ₹88,087 crore through a 50-year loan at an interest rate of 0.1% with a moratorium on repayments up to 15 years
