After Amaravati and Polavaram, the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor is the most important project for Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu went to Delhi and fought hard to secure the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor.

This corridor is a game changer for the state of Andhra Pradesh. The NDA government provided a clear assurance on this in the previous budget. It is a project that has come to us under the AP Reorganization Act.

This is the first coastal industrial corridor in our country, featuring a total of four financial centers and nine industrial complexes. The state government has proposed nodes in Visakhapatnam (6,931 acres), Machilipatnam (12,145 acres), Srikalahasti-Erpedu (26,425 acres), and Donakonda (17,117 acres). It spans a length of about 800 km.

Upon completion, this corridor will provide employment to 1.2 crore people. That is why Chandrababu is vigorously pursuing this project. Infrastructural facilities will be developed to set up industries, including roads, drinking water pipelines, drains, power substations, etc., to connect the existing national highways and railways.

National highways will be connected to the ports, creating the necessary infrastructure to produce goods for export. The construction of the basic infrastructure for the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor will provide opportunities for setting up heavy industries.

With efficient transportation, water and electricity supply, a skilled workforce, pro-industrial policies, and the establishment of international production systems, there are ample opportunities for investment. The industries established in this corridor will receive subsidies from both the central and state governments.

Additionally, this corridor is connected to national highways and major railway lines, with potential for constructing medium-sized ports along the coast. Compared to other corridors in the country, it is the closest to airports, ports, national highways, and major railway lines.

During his first visit to Delhi after focusing on Amaravati and Polavaram, Chandrababu Naidu emphasized the importance of the Vizag-Chennai Industrial Corridor and secured a promise to include it in the Union Budget. The first phase can be easily completed in the next two years.
