If the rumours in business and political circles are to be believed, Infosys which currently has its head quarters at Bengaluru is planning to move its base to Vishakapatnam. Infosys is planning expansion of its Devanahalli campus for along time but the Congress led Karnataka government is not at all cooperating to the company in that aspect and the company management is thinking on the lines of moving out of Bengaluru.
Krish Gopalakrishnan one of the founding members of Infosys met Chandrababu Naidu couple of months ago in Vishakapatnam. It is said that this issue came up between them in that meeting. We already know that Naidu successfully lured the Hero Motocorp plant out of Karnataka if he manages to bag Infosys, this will be the biggest blow to Karnataka which leads the country in IT exports.
The other day when Chandrababu Naidu went to Bengaluru, he spoke to media there about competition with Karnataka government, “We will definitely compete in developing the states but as well as cooperate with each other for issues pertaining to the mutual benefit of both the states”.
