The ongoing political developments in Andhra Pradesh is indicating the ressurgence of new political force in the state. BJP which was never a strong force in the state and always relied on its allies whenever it has showed some presence has seen the joining of few strong leaders.
With Congress completely decimated in the state due to the bifurcation issue, several of its leaders who had strong rivalry with TDP and its leaders are seeing BJP as their new political destination.
BJP in the recent Maharashtra elections showed the World its capability by leaving out its oldest ally, Shiv Sena but still ending up as the single largest party. The ruling party may adopt similar approach in 2019 for Andhra Pradesh too. It may take the seat of the opposition party with Congress and YSR Congress losing their popularity every day and may take on Telugu Desam Party for the top seat in the next elections. Probably they may merge Jana Sena and have Pawan Kalyan as the face of the party.
In case the Modi-BJP wave subside for the next election, it could still bargain for more seats with TDP in Andhra Pradesh showing these strong leaders. However TDP leaders and followers brush all these and say BJP can not become relevant in AP politics and even if it does it will not matter for TDP. They all say the leaders joining BJP from Congress are spent force and do not have any relevance in the state politics. They also add these leaders have chosen BJP as they do not have vacancy in TDP.
