YS Jagan Mohan Reddy strongly reacted to Nandamuri Balakrishna’s comments made during the previous Assembly session.
The Hindupur MLA had called Jagan “Psycho Gadu” and accused him of insulting film industry celebrities. Megastar Chiranjeevi later responded, saying Jagan was always respectful, which subtly dismissed Balakrishna’s remarks.
When asked about the issue today after his press meet, Jagan replied sharply, “Balakrishna came to the Assembly drunk. The Speaker who allowed a drunk person inside has no sense. If he talks like that, he should check his psychological health.” His tone clearly showed how offended he was by the “Psycho Gadu” remark.
At the time of Balakrishna’s comments, the Speaker was not present; Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju chaired the session. Given Jagan’s strained ties with RRR, the situation only worsened his reaction.
Now, all eyes are on how Balakrishna and the TDP leadership will respond. Sources say Balakrishna was already upset with the party for not standing by him earlier when Chiranjeevi’s letter criticized his comments a view also echoed by Pawan Kalyan during the campaign.
Supporters of the Nandamuri family are now demanding a cabinet berth for Balakrishna. They believe the TDP leadership is sidelining him despite his loyalty and expect a stronger defense from the party after Jagan’s latest comments.
