Two acceptances are very important for a Political Leader.
The first one is Public Acceptance, and the second is Political Acceptance.
You get Public Acceptance when you impress the people and get their votes to win elections.
Political Acceptance is something when Political Leaders respect you as a leader, an achiever, and a potential candidate for the future. Both these Acceptances go hand in hand.
Some leaders get one. For an instance, Communist leaders get Political Acceptance. Politicians do take them seriously but public do not take them and so, they do not get votes.
There are certain leaders in the Political Parties who are used only for Pressmeets and Debates. They do not get Tickets to contest elections and are only confined to nominated posts. Such leaders do not bother about Public Acceptance.
But in Politics, when you have larger ambitions, you have to get both.
Nara Lokesh faced the same challenge between 2014 and 2019.
Choosing to take a cabinet post via the Council, not projecting his work as much as possible, and not countering the opposition’s propaganda, dented Lokesh’s career big time.
Once people defeated him in Mangalagiri, believing the Opposition’s Malicious Propaganda, Lokesh’s career was at a crossroads.
But then, he took it as a challenge.
He reduced weight, improved his oratory skills, increased his subject skills, and did a 4000 Kilometer Padayatra to impress the people. The result is a massive victory in Mangalagiri with a sensational 91,413 votes majority.
Not just the victory, the majority implies Lokesh has achieved the most important ‘Public Acceptance’.
And the ‘Political Acceptance’ is also complete today.
For the last year, YSR Congress has been giving that Political Acceptance to Lokesh unknowingly by doing a Japa of Lokesh and the Red Book.
A few days ago, Kalvakuntla Kavitha was in all praise of Lokesh’s surge.
And today, KTR completed the circle by heaping praise on Lokesh.
Talking about Revanth Reddy’s criticism of KTR meeting Lokesh secretly, KTR said, “లోకేష్ ఏమన్నా నీలా అంతర్రాష్ట్ర దొంగనా?
Keeping aside the Political Banter, it is clear KTR has completely acknowledged the rise of Lokesh.
With YSR Congress in AP and BRS in Telangana, it is almost complete that the parties opposite TDP have acknowledged Lokesh and his rise giving that ‘Political Acceptance’.
Probably, this is why Lokesh’s Resurgence can be termed as one of the biggest comebacks in Indian Politics.
