Together with local leaders, TDP MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao inspected the Rushikonda buildings in Visakhapatnam. These buildings were constructed during Jagan’s regime flouting all the rules.
The Palace was constructed flouting all environmental norms and was rumored to be a gift to YS Bharathi Reddy who likes seaside palaces.
Bharathi could not have one in Hyderabad and Bengaluru due to natural conditions.
Since the Jagan Government did not have permission to shift capital out of Amaravati, they constructed these buildings in the name of Tourism Department Buildings.
They were inaugurated just before the elections without allowing anyone. Jagan planned to do Gruhapravesham after the elections but fate has a different idea.
The building is like a Palace with luxurious interiors, bathroom fittings, furnishings, etc.
After the inspection, Ganta spoke to the media.
He said, ” Luxury buildings have been built here secretly. First, they said tourism buildings and later they said administrative buildings. What did they do with 550 crores of public money? YSRCP leaders were given this contract. We will show Rushikonda buildings to Chief Minister Chandrababu. The government will take decision regarding these buildings. Construction estimates for Rushikonda buildings are kept secret”.
“The government building, Praja Vedika, was demolished by the Jagan government citing no permissions. What are the permissions for Rushikonda Palace? We have seen such palaces built by Saddam Hussain and Gali Janardhan Reddy. Jagan built it with public money. But he had to step down even before he could see it,” Ganta added.
